Studio
The tools for the job
Assembling a world class collection of studio equipment is no small task. Even if you have the means to purchase it, knowing which tools you need to do your best work requires years of trial and error. The gear that stands the test of time for any given studio is a reflection of the owner of that studio, and this could not be more true in my case. It has been my life’s work assembling this collection of equipment, and it is every bit as comprehensive and detailed as I am.
And it’s not just the choice of the equipment, but also the calibration and specific customization of that equipment that matters. And my attention to detail in this regard knows no bounds. Every pickup position in every guitar provides a quality usable sound that separates itself from the rest. Every tube in every amp is hand selected and biased by feel. Every speaker in every cabinet has been scrutinized over and the cabinets themselves cover an endless array of tones. Every mic preamp is perfectly matched to the chosen microphone and source. Every piece of gear in the mastering chain is meant to interact flawlessly with the next.
Attaining these tools has been my life’s work and I love putting them to use on every record I make.
